Giao-Diem Humanitarian Foundation is a California-based, non-profit organization that has provided humanitarian services in Vietnam since 1991. In addition to its other activities, Giao-Diem’s main focuses have been:

  1. To provide financial and nutritional support through the “classrooms of compassion” project in the rural, impoverished provinces.
  2. To support orphanages for the poor and nursing homes for the elderly in the destitute areas.
  3. To provide medicine and financial assistance to free medical care mobile clinics for patients in underserved regions.
  4. To assist the victims of natural disasters such as hurricane and flood.

With its projects, Giao-Diem has been acting as a bridge to connect the unfortunate people in the rural areas of Vietnam with those overseas who want to do anything, however small, to alleviate the sufferings from years of war and destruction there. Working with important partners, such as AmeriCares Foundation, and its own network of friends and associates in Vietnam , Giao-Diem has coordinated its humanitarian services throughout the country with an emphasis being placed in the most impoverished provinces, notably in the Central and the Highland areas.

True to its humanitarian and non-profit spirit, Giao-Diem stands out among the non-profit organizations with its commitment to honor its benefactors’ wishes by transferring 100% of every donation to the intended projects. There are categorically NO overhead expenses paid for by donors’ contributions. While performing their duties, Giao-Diem ’s representatives use their own money to cover any and all expenses such as lodging, transportation, and food, including costs related to the organization’s regular functions.
